For material, PLA, matte PLA, silk PLA, or wood-style filaments are all called out as good choices, which lines up with the Japandi look — a matte or wood-style filament will suit the subdued design more than something glossy or bright.

There’s also an optional surface treatment worth knowing about: fuzzy skin applied only to the outer contour of the top part, using a point distance of 0.40 mm and a thickness of 0.30 mm. This is how the studio’s own print looked in their photos, but they’re clear it isn’t required — the model holds up fine without it if you’d rather keep things simple.

Because the clock face, hands, and ring are separate parts, there’s room to play with color. Printing the ring or face in a different filament than the main body is an easy way to make your version look distinct without touching the geometry at all, and it’s worth deciding on a color combination before you start printing rather than after.

This is a desk-first object. It’s suited to a home office, a studio space, or a bedside table, and it works as either a personal build or a gift for another maker who’d appreciate a functional print.
