Hello, fellow makers. The Pumpkin box 3D print has made its way from our design screen into the studio, so it is time to take a closer look at the concept, the details, and the finished design.

A pumpkin box 3d print is one of those small ideas that earns its place fast: fold a pumpkin-shaped container out of a single print, no glue, no supports, and use it to hand out candy or dress up a Halloween table. That’s the whole premise here, and it works because the shape does double duty as decoration and container.

There are seven different face designs, ranging from a simple cute grin to something closer to creepy, so you’re not stuck printing the same jack-o-lantern seven times over. Each face comes in two sizes, Mini and Standard, which means you can print a cluster of small ones for a table runner or a few larger ones to actually hold a handful of candy or a small gift.

What does a pumpkin box 3d print look like on the table

Printed as a set, these look like a little pumpkin patch spread across a shelf or a party table. The multicolor version gives you the classic orange body with a black face without touching a color-change setting yourself, since the file is built to switch colors at the right layer. The single color version is meant for anyone who wants to paint after printing, or who is happy with a plain finish and glow-in-the-dark filament instead.

Mixing sizes and faces on one build plate is part of the point. Seven faces times two sizes times two color versions adds up to a lot of variation from one small design, so no two pumpkins on the table need to look alike.

How it prints

The folding design is the detail worth knowing before you hit print: the box is built to close up without supports, and assembly is meant to be easy once it’s off the plate. Recommended settings call for PLA, 10% gyroid or grid infill, two walls, and a 0.4mm nozzle, with supports needed for the finer facial details even though the box body itself doesn’t need them. A brim isn’t necessary unless you run into adhesion trouble.

Predefined 3mf files are included for both the Single-Color and Multicolor versions, so there’s no manual color-change setup required before printing. That matters if you want to batch a full set of seven faces in an evening rather than configuring each one by hand.

Where the glow-in-the-dark trick comes in

Classic orange and black is the obvious choice, and it reads as pumpkin the moment someone glances at it. But swapping to a glow-in-the-dark filament for the single color version turns the same box into something that holds its own after the lights go out, which is a nice option if these are going to sit out during an evening party rather than just in daylight on a shelf.

Who this pumpkin box 3d print is for

This is a practical print as much as a decorative one. The seven faces and two sizes mean you can print a full set for a party without repeating a design, then reuse the same files as a small gift box or a candy holder outside of Halloween proper. It also fits into a broader Halloween Collection from Sektor 7 Studios, so if a pumpkin box turns out to be worth printing, there’s more in the same vein to build out a full seasonal set.

For anyone starting with just one version, the multicolor 3mf is the faster path to a finished, colored box straight off the plate. The single color version is the one to reach for if you already plan to hand-paint or want to try the glow-in-the-dark route.

That brings us to the end of today's look at the Pumpkin box 3D print. Thanks for reading, keep experimenting, and remember that there is always room for one more print — even if the shelf says otherwise.
