Easter egg figurine STL: a playful, cheerful hatch
Two swappable leg styles, ready to print and mix in any color

Welcome to another trip through the Sektor 7 workshop. The Easter egg figurine STL is today's stop, and we are looking at the idea, the design choices, and the details that bring the whole thing together.
This easter egg figurine STL started from an image too funny to leave alone: an eggshell that has cracked open and simply walked off on its own two legs. Two eggshells, two sets of legs, and suddenly Easter decor has a sense of humor.
The idea came from noticing how much a simple shape can carry if you commit to it. An eggshell is already a recognizable form. Give it legs and it becomes a character without needing a face, a name, or a backstory. That restraint is part of why this easter egg figurine STL works as well printed small as it does in a render.
What the easter egg figurine STL looks like printed
Printed, the pieces read as a clean eggshell shape sitting just slightly cracked at the top, paired with a set of legs plugged in underneath. The Normal Legs keep the whole thing minimal, almost like a simple cartoon silhouette. The Realistic Chicken Legs go further, with more surface detail and a livelier, more textured look. Side by side they read as two different personalities rather than two options on the same model.
Because the legs are separate, plug-in parts, you are not locked into one look per egg. You can put realistic legs on one and normal legs on the other, swap them around later, or print a small flock with a mix of both. It turns one model into a small set without adding new geometry to design around.
How this Easter decoration prints
The geometry is described as clean and printable, designed for smooth prints with minimal supports needed. That matters for a seasonal piece like this, since nobody wants to spend an evening cleaning support marks off something meant to sit out for a couple of weeks and then go back in a drawer.
The plug-in leg system also makes this a natural fit for multi-color printing. If you’re running an AMS setup, you can color the shell and legs separately without redesigning anything. If you’re swapping filament manually, the same separation makes color changes straightforward since the legs print and attach independently from the shell.
Picking a leg style to print first
For anyone deciding which version to start with, the Realistic Chicken Legs are the more interesting print if you want detail to show off, while the Normal Legs are the safer choice if you want something clean and fast that still reads clearly from across a room. Printing one of each and letting people pick a favorite is probably the most honest way to introduce this easter egg figurine STL to a household.
A small, easy gift
Part of the appeal here is scale. This isn’t a display piece that needs a dedicated shelf or a lot of planning. It sits on a desk next to a keyboard, tucks onto a shelf with other seasonal items, or works as a small centerpiece on an Easter table without dominating it. The size and subject make it a natural small gift too, the kind of object that gets a laugh when someone unwraps it rather than a polite nod.
Where it sits in a collection
As part of a kitchen and seasonal decor lineup, this pair leans into the domestic, everyday side of 3D printing rather than the display-case side. It’s not a piece you build a lighting setup around. It’s something you print in an afternoon, set out on a counter near Easter, and swap out again once the season passes, which is exactly the kind of low-commitment project that makes a printer earn its keep between bigger builds.
That is it for today. Keep those nozzles warm.
