E27 pendant lamp 3D print, a bold cozy KASMO shade
A curved perforated shade file sized for the E27 socket

Greetings from the print farm. This one is about the E27 pendant lamp 3D print, from the first layer to the finished piece.
The E27 pendant lamp 3D print of the KASMO shade exists because people asked for it. Sektor 7 Studios released the original KASMO as an E14 lamp first, and the feedback that came back kept pointing at one thing: give us a version for E27, the socket most people already have wired into their fixtures at home. This new file is that answer, built specifically for E27 lamp sockets rather than adapted as an afterthought.
What KASMO looks like on the shelf and above the table
The shade keeps its clean cylindrical body, but the opening curves rather than running straight, which gives the whole piece a softer silhouette than a plain tube shade would have. Across the surface runs a detailed perforated pattern, small enough to read as texture from a distance and intricate enough to hold your eye up close. The outer surface reads dark and solid until the bulb goes on, and then the contrast does the work: a warm glow escapes through every perforation, scattering light in a pattern across the ceiling and walls around it.
That combination of a dark, closed-looking shell and light leaking out through fine detail is what gives KASMO its particular character. It doesn’t read as purely decorative object or purely functional lamp, it sits in between, which is probably why it’s been described as fitting Scandinavian, Japandi, and minimal interiors equally well as a more modern industrial setup.
Why an E27 pendant lamp 3D print instead of E14
E14 and E27 are both lamp bases, but E27 is the larger, more widely used pendant and ceiling fitting standard in most homes. If your existing pendant wiring or socket is E27, the E14 version of KASMO simply won’t thread on, so this second file isn’t a variant for variety’s sake, it’s there to make the same design usable in a socket you probably already have installed. Sektor 7 Studios kept the shape, the curve, and the perforation pattern identical to the original, so the only real decision left for you is which socket matches your fitting.
Setting it up safely
KASMO E27 is designed for use with an E27 lamp socket and pendant light fitting, and it calls for LED bulbs only. Bulbs that generate significant heat are not suitable here, since the printed shade needs to stay clear of excessive temperature. This isn’t a lamp you improvise wiring for: follow the safety instructions that come with your socket, cable set, and bulb, and treat the shade as what it is, a decorative indoor piece rather than a sealed fixture.
If you’re setting this up for the first time, sourcing a proper E27 socket with cable and a suitable LED bulb before you print is worth doing, so the shade goes straight onto hardware that’s rated for it rather than sitting printed and unused on a shelf while you track down parts.
Where it earns a spot in a room
KASMO was built with specific spots in mind rather than as a generic pendant. It’s suited to hanging above dining tables, coffee tables, and kitchen counters, where the downward spread of perforated light patterns actually lands on a surface people use. It also works over desks and in reading corners, where a softer, patterned glow beats a bare bulb, and in living rooms or offices where you want ambient light rather than a primary source.
Printed, it’s a piece that does double duty: functional lighting when it’s on, and a sculptural shade with real texture when it’s off. For anyone who already has the E14 version and a second fixture on an E27 socket, this is a straightforward way to bring the same look into another room without redesigning anything. For everyone else, choosing between E14 and E27 KASMO now just comes down to checking which socket is already in the ceiling.
Until next time: fewer failed first layers to you all.
