Bathroom Organizer 3D Print Basim: Sturdy Modular Design
Printable STL and 3MF files for a modular countertop organizer

A fresh model deserves more than a few pretty renders. So today we are taking a deeper look at the Bathroom Organizer 3D Print Basim, where the idea came from, and how the design works as a real 3D print.
The bathroom organizer 3D print Basim started as a straightforward answer to a cluttered countertop: something that holds toothbrushes and toothpaste without leaving a ring of water behind every time you set a wet brush down. That single detail, the hidden drip tray, is what separates it from a plain holder. It sits underneath the storage area, catching runoff before it reaches the counter, so cleaning the bathroom stops meaning wiping around a dozen small objects.
Basim isn’t locked into one room either. The same shape that holds a toothbrush works just as well for spices, small kitchen tools, or a scatter of loose utensils, which is why it’s described as suited for bathroom, kitchen, or workspace use. Anyone printing one organizer for the sink and a second for the kitchen counter is using the same file for two different jobs.
What does the ribbed design bring to a bathroom organizer 3D print
The surface treatment is ribbed rather than smooth, which gives Basim its modern look on a shelf or countertop. It’s not just decoration: the ribbing reads as part of the same clean, functional language as the drip tray and the modular build, so the piece looks considered rather than like a generic bin. On a bathroom shelf next to tile and chrome fixtures, that ribbed texture keeps it from looking like a leftover storage box.
Two inlet versions and a divided insert
Basim ships with two inlet versions, so you choose the opening that matches what you’re storing before you print. A divided insert option is also available, which splits the interior for people who want to separate toothbrushes from toothpaste, or spice jars from smaller bottles. This is the kind of decision worth making before printing rather than after: pick the inlet and insert combination that matches your actual counter first, then print.
Because the build is modular, the parts go together without complicated fitting work, and Leon from Sektor 7 Studios notes it was designed to be easy to print and assemble. The bottom of the piece also leaves space for rubber studs, a small addition that keeps the finished organizer from sliding around on a wet counter or a smooth shelf.
Where it sits once it’s printed
Once assembled, Basim is meant to live somewhere it gets used daily rather than displayed. A bathroom sink edge, a kitchen counter near the stove, or a desk holding pens and small tools are all places it was designed to fit. The multi-purpose framing in mind here isn’t about switching rooms constantly, it’s about the same design solving a repeated problem: too many small items with no clean place to sit.
For anyone building a bathroom collection made up of matching functional pieces, Basim adds a piece that does real work rather than just standing next to the sink for looks. Because it comes with inlet choices and an insert option, it can be tuned to match a soap dish or toothbrush stand already on the shelf, without needing a separate model for each item type.
Printing notes worth knowing
Sektor 7 Studios attached a .3mf file that uses a fuzzy skin setting on the bottom part of the model, giving it a slightly textured, less glossy surface where the piece meets the counter. This isn’t a requirement: the plain STL prints fine without it, and the fuzzy skin option is offered as a finish choice rather than a rule. If a more matte, grippy base appeals to you, it’s worth trying on this particular part rather than the whole model.
STL files are included for anyone printing on their own setup, and predefined 3mf profiles for Bambu Lab printers are noted as part of the release. Because the organizer is modular, printing it in separate parts keeps each piece within a reasonable build volume and makes the ribbed surfaces easier to finish cleanly before final assembly.
