Tim reads as a classically unimpressed cat, all narrowed eyes and stiff posture. Tom is the dog version of that same energy, equally unbothered but with his own set of features.

That contrast is really the point. You get two small sculptures that clearly belong together but don’t repeat each other, which is why the studio designed them as a set from the start instead of pairing up two older models after the fact.

Printed, these come across as stylized rather than realistic. The faces carry strong, sculpted details, exaggerated brows, heavy-lidded eyes, a set jaw, the kind of features that make an expression readable from across a room rather than only up close. The bodies stay smooth and simplified, which keeps the focus on the face where all the personality sits.

Because the designs are stylized rather than fussy, they take well to either a straightforward single-color print or a more involved multicolor job. If you want the grumpy eyebrow or the muzzle to pop against the base coat, that’s a job for multicolor printing or a bit of hand painting afterward. Left as a single color, the strong sculpting still carries the joke on its own.

Do you print Tim and Tom together or separately?

You can print either one on its own, so if you only want the grumpy cat for a gift or only want the sideeye dog for your own desk, that works fine. But they were designed as a matching set, and a lot of the humor comes from seeing them side by side, two different animals pulling the exact same unimpressed face. Printing the pair together is the stronger display choice if you have room for both.

If you’re only committing to one print run, cat people will probably reach for Tim first, but Tom’s dog version of the same expression is arguably funnier precisely because dogs aren’t supposed to look that unbothered.
