Paw Leash Holder: a sturdy, cheerful entryway fixture
A personalized wall hook you print, name and mount yourself

Hello, fellow makers of small plastic things. Today it is the Paw Leash Holder, and what makes it worth the filament.
The paw leash holder from Sektor 7 Studios is a wall-mounted hook shaped like a dog’s paw, made for the spot by the front door where a leash always seems to go missing. It comes out of a practical problem: dog owners need somewhere consistent to hang a leash, collar or keys, and a plain hook does the job without saying anything about the household it’s in. This one is shaped like a paw pad instead, so it reads as decoration first and storage second.
The build is split into parts on purpose. The paw pads print separately from the base and then insert into it, which is how the paw leash holder gets a two-color look without needing a multi-material setup or an AMS. The hook itself attaches using a printed screw with a 45-degree thread, designed so it prints cleanly and screws into the base smoothly once assembled. On the back of the base there are two mounting options, either wall plugs or nails, so you can pick whichever suits your wall.
Personalizing the paw leash holder with your dog’s name
A .3mf file is included specifically so you can add your dog’s name directly onto the model before printing. This turns the paw leash holder from a generic hook into something made for one specific dog, which matters if you’re printing it as a gift rather than just hardware for your own hallway. You edit the name in the 3mf and print as usual, so there’s no extra software step beyond what your slicer already does.
Because the pads are separate pieces, personalizing the paw pad doesn’t mean redoing the whole model. You swap in the named version of that one part and keep the base and hook as they are. That’s a small thing, but it means a batch of these for multiple dogs doesn’t require re-slicing everything from scratch each time.
What size leash does the current hook handle?
The hook version available now is built for smaller leashes and lighter use, so think collars, keys, or a lightweight everyday leash rather than something meant for pulling a large dog. Sektor 7 Studios has said a larger version is coming for bigger leashes and heavier applications, so if your dog is a puller or you need something rated for daily heavy use, it’s worth waiting for that version rather than pushing the current hook past what it’s meant for.
This is also the detail to keep in mind if you’re mounting the paw leash holder somewhere shared by multiple leashes or heavier gear. As it stands, it’s suited to being the tidy, decorative catch-all near the door rather than the anchor point for a large dog’s daily walk.
Scaling without breaking the fit
The model is designed so all its parts, the base, the insert pads, the hook and the printed screw, fit together at a specific scale. If you want it bigger or smaller, you can resize it in your slicer, but every part needs to be scaled by the same factor. Scale just the base up and leave the pad at 100 percent, for instance, and the insert won’t seat properly anymore. It’s a simple rule, but it’s the one thing that will cause a failed assembly if skipped.
A spot for the paw leash holder in a pet corner
This is designed for the entryway, hallway or a dedicated pet corner, anywhere a household naturally reaches for a leash on the way out. The paw shape gives it a decorative presence even when nothing is hanging on it, so it works as a small piece of wall decor as much as a functional hook. For dog owners setting up a pet station, or for anyone printing a gift for another dog owner, the ability to add a name to the pad makes the paw leash holder feel like a finished object rather than a generic accessory.
It sits comfortably alongside other practical home prints without needing much justification. A hook near the door solves a small daily annoyance, and the paw shape means it doesn’t look out of place doing it.
Stay tuned, my friends. More prints are on the way.
