AirPods charging pillow, a cosy practical desk print
Two printable versions for storage or MagSafe charging, no supports

Welcome to another trip through the Sektor 7 workshop. The AirPods charging pillow is today's stop, and we are looking at the idea, the design choices, and the details that bring the whole thing together.
The AirPods charging pillow started from a simple problem: charging cables and little plastic stands rarely look good on a desk. This one is shaped like a soft pillow, and that shape is doing real work — it naturally guides and centers the AirPods case so it settles into the same spot every time, instead of sliding around next to a charger.
There are two versions to choose from. The storage version is just for keeping the AirPods safe and organized, no electronics involved. The charging version is built around MagSafe integration, so the AirPods case actually gets powered while it sits in the pillow shape. Both share the same soft, rounded look, so you can pick based on whether you want a charging spot or just a tidy resting place.
Why a pillow shape for an AirPods charging pillow
The rounded, soft-pillow look isn’t only cosmetic. Because it’s molded like a real pillow, it hides the MagSafe charger and its cable inside the form, so what you see on your desk is just a small soft shape, not a puck with a wire hanging off it. Sektor 7 Studios describes this as elegant and invisible cable management, and it’s the detail that separates this from a typical charging stand.
The design also works because it’s forgiving. You don’t have to place the AirPods case with any precision — the pillow shape does the centering for you, which matters if this is going to live somewhere you reach for it without looking, like a nightstand at night.
What it looks like once printed
Printed, the surface reads as soft and rounded, closer to fabric or foam than to hard plastic, even though it’s a rigid print. Sektor 7 Studios notes it prints well and looks realistic, and that the color choice matters — the design is said to look good in different colors, so this is one where picking a filament shade that matches your desk or room is worth thinking about before you start the print.
The two versions look nearly identical from the outside. The difference is internal: one is a simple storage cavity, the other has room built in for the MagSafe charger and its cable routing.
How it prints
The listing states plainly that no supports are needed, which for a rounded, overhang-heavy shape like a pillow is a real convenience — less cleanup, less wasted filament, and a cleaner underside where the model sits against your desk. Predefined print profiles and 3MF files for Bambu Lab printers are provided for members, alongside the STL files, so the print settings have already been worked out by the studio rather than left for you to guess.
Because the charging version needs to accommodate a real MagSafe charger, it’s worth confirming your charger’s dimensions before printing that variant, since the cavity is built around a specific hardware fit.
Where the AirPods charging pillow sits
This is a desk or nightstand piece first, though it works equally well on a shelf near where you already put your phone at night. It’s part of Sektor 7 Studios’ broader office collection, so if you print this and like the pillow language, there are other desk-focused designs built in a similar spirit. For anyone who charges their AirPods every day and is tired of looking at a bare charging puck, this gives that daily routine an object that actually looks intentional.
If you’re deciding which version to print first, the storage version is the simpler build and a good way to test how the pillow shape prints in your filament of choice before committing to the charging version, which asks a bit more of you in terms of fitting real hardware inside a soft-looking shell.
And that is a wrap. We hope the AirPods charging pillow sparks an idea or two for your own setup, and we will be back soon with more designs, experiments, and probably a few unnecessary test prints.
