OMNI Desk Lamp

OMNI is a 3D-printable desk lamp built around one idea: a lamp on your desk should also be doing something useful. Alongside the mesh lampshade that gives it its warm glow, the base hides a small tray for the odds and ends that otherwise clutter a workspace, paper clips, USB drives, keys, jewelry. What does OMNI look like when printed?

The shade is a cylinder covered in a detailed open mesh, the kind of surface that turns a plain LED into a pattern of light and shadow on the wall behind it. The base comes in two versions, a wide one that sits lower and a compact one that stands taller, so the same lamp can look different depending on which you print. A printed holder and retaining ring keep the light module seated inside the shade, and the base has visible cable routing built into its design rather than a cable left dangling.

How does it print?

The source notes the lampshade can be printed in vase mode or as a normal solid print, and that no supports are needed for a clean result. The team behind it also mentions using a fuzzy skin setting on the outer contours of the organizer tray for a more textured, realistic surface, though they are clear this step is optional. Care is advised when peeling the lampshade off the printbed, since the mesh detail is delicate at that stage.

How do you put it together?

Assembly is meant to be simple and tool-free. The light module goes into the printed holder, that holder attaches to the base, and the mesh lampshade sits on top, held in place by the retaining ring. Because the lamp relies on the Bambu Lab Lamp Kit for its electronics, you will need to source that kit separately, either from the official Bambu Lab store or through the retail links the studio provides, and you can pick a warm-white light for a classic look or a multicolor version for something more unusual.

That comes down to space and style. The wide base sits lower and gives OMNI a more grounded, stable footprint, while the compact base trades width for height, standing taller in a smaller area.
