The Obsidian Flame Dragon is a fantasy sculpture from Sektor 7 Studios, built around a powerful silhouette, sharp armor-like scales, and a pair of massive wings. It was made for makers who want a display-ready piece with real presence, something that reads as a dragon from across the room and holds up under a closer look thanks to the detail worked into the horns, tail, and wing membranes.

What does the dragon look like printed?

Printed in Anycubic PLA Silk, the model takes on a black-red metallic effect that shifts as the light moves across it. The layered scale structure catches highlights along the back and wings, and the long tail and dramatic horns stretch the pose into a strong, dynamic line. The finish is part of the design itself: the source material notes the model looks good in silk, dual-color, metallic, or dark filaments, since the scale detail is built to catch reflections rather than sit flat under matte colors.

How does it print?

The files come as STL files, with predefined print profiles available to members and 3MF files prepared for Bambu Lab printers noted as coming soon. Beyond the file formats provided, the source material does not go into specific print settings, so those choices are left to the person printing it.

What is this dragon made for?

The design was created for makers who want bold, detailed, display-ready prints with a strong fantasy vibe. The armor-like scales and aggressive pose are meant to stand out on a shelf, a desk, or wherever fantasy pieces get displayed, and the scale and character make it a natural fit for D&D and tabletop gaming collections as well.

Where can you get it?

The Obsidian Flame Dragon is available through Sektor 7 Studios on Patreon, where the STL files and print profiles are provided for members. The files are intended for private use unless a commercial license is purchased, which also gives access to other premium models from the studio.

Where does it fit in a collection?

On a desk it works as a striking single piece; on a shelf it holds its own next to other fantasy sculptures; and in a gaming setup it doubles as a display piece for tabletop sessions. It suits collectors already building out a fantasy shelf who want something with a darker, more aggressive presence than a typical dragon figure.
